Who we are
Red Rose Custom Closets Inc. (“Red Rose Custom Closets”, “we”, “us”) designs, manufactures and installs custom closets and storage for homeowners in Ontario, Canada. Our website is www.redrosecustom.ca. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy, and you can reach us any time at redrosecustom@gmail.com.
What personal information we collect
We only collect what we need to quote and complete closet projects. What we hold depends on how you contact us.
If you use the contact form on our website
- First and last name
- Phone number
- Email address
- City
- The type of project you are interested in, and your rough timeline
- Anything you choose to write in the notes field
If you use our online closet designer
- Name, email address, phone number, city and installation address
- Any notes you add to your project
- Your closet design itself — room and wall measurements, ceiling height, the components you chose, and the estimate generated from them
- Confirmation that your project is located in Ontario, since that is the only area we serve
- If you attach photos of your space, we record only the file name, size and file type. The images themselves are not stored on our systems.
If you create an account to save a design
- Email address and a password, which is stored in encrypted form by our authentication provider and is never visible to us
- Phone number, if you add one to your profile
If you submit a Facebook or Instagram Lead Ad
- The answers you gave in the ad form — typically your name, phone number, email address and city, plus any other questions that form asked
- Which platform you submitted from (Facebook or Instagram), and which of our ads, ad sets, campaigns and forms it came from
- The time you submitted it, and the reference number Meta assigns to your submission
How we collect it
Everything above is information you give us directly — by filling in a form on our website, by building and submitting a design in our online closet designer, or by submitting one of our Lead Ad forms on Facebook or Instagram. We do not buy contact lists and we do not collect personal information about you from other sources.
How Facebook and Instagram Lead Ad information reaches us
When you submit one of our Lead Ad forms, Meta notifies our system that a new submission exists and gives us a reference number for it. Our system then uses Meta’s official Marketing API to retrieve the answers you provided on that form, along with which ad and form it came from. That information is saved to our own database so our team can follow up with you.
We request only the access needed to read leads from our own advertising account and Facebook Page. We do not read your Facebook or Instagram profile, your posts, your friends or your messages, and we have no access to your Meta account.
Why we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and answer questions about a project
- To prepare quotes and estimates, and to send them to you
- To schedule measurements and installation, and to keep in touch while the work is underway
- To keep records of projects we have completed, including for warranty purposes
- To send transactional email connected to your project or account, such as a quote link or a password reset
We use your information for these purposes only. We do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Service providers
We use a small number of established providers to run our business. They process information on our behalf and only for the purposes above.
- Supabase — stores our database and manages account sign-in for the online designer
- Vercel — hosts our website and online designer
- Meta Platforms — operates Facebook and Instagram, and delivers Lead Ad submissions to us
- Formspree — delivers messages sent through the contact form on our website
- Google — delivers our email, including quotes and project correspondence
Some of these providers operate servers outside Canada, which means your information may be stored or processed in another country and be subject to the laws of that country.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or advertising. The only parties who receive it are the service providers listed above, and only so they can perform their function for us. We may also disclose information if we are required to by law.
Cookies, analytics and tracking
Our website does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or analytics services. We do not run Google Analytics, and we do not run a Meta pixel on our site.
If you sign in to the online closet designer, your browser stores a sign-in session so you stay logged in, along with small technical values that remember which project you were last working on. These exist purely to make the tool work and are not used to track you across other websites.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiry and project information for as long as we have an active relationship with you, and afterwards for as long as we reasonably need it — to honour warranties on work we have completed, to answer questions about a past project, and to meet our record-keeping and tax obligations. When information is no longer needed for those purposes, or when you ask us to delete it, we remove it. See the next section.
Accessing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct anything that is wrong, or to delete it. Email redrosecustom@gmail.com with your request and enough detail for us to find your record, such as the name, phone number or email address you used when you contacted us.
We will respond within 30 days. There is no charge. If we cannot delete something because we are required to keep it — for example, records tied to a completed sale — we will tell you which information that is and why.
You may also withdraw your consent to us contacting you at any time by replying to any message from us or emailing the address above.
Keeping your information secure
Information is stored in access-controlled systems, and the parts of our system that hold customer records are restricted to authorised Red Rose staff. Data is encrypted in transit. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take reasonable steps appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold.
Children
Our services are intended for homeowners and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Your rights under Canadian privacy law
We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If you have a privacy concern, please contact us first so we can resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example if we add a service or change a provider. The current version is always on this page, with the “Last updated” date at the top showing when it last changed.
