Walk-in closets built to the scale of Kleinburg homes

Kleinburg is a community within the City of Vaughan, and it splits into two quite different housing types. The village core is historic — smaller period homes, irregular walls, and closets that were added long after the houses were built, if they exist at all. Surrounding it are the newer estate subdivisions, where the primary bedroom suites are among the largest in York Region.

In the estate homes, the closet is a room. It has the floor area, the ceiling height and often the window that would let it function like a dressing room. What it usually has instead is a rail running around two walls at about seven feet, with everything above it empty. Those projects are the fullest systems we build: hanging split into short and long zones on every available wall, a dedicated shoe run, banks of drawers, and where the width allows, a centre island that adds drawer storage without narrowing the walkway.

Finish carries more weight here than in most places we work. A Kleinburg closet is usually going in as part of a renovated ensuite or primary suite, so panel colour, base style and drawer fronts are chosen to sit with the room rather than to disappear behind a door. Because we manufacture in Ontario rather than assembling a catalogue product, the sizing follows your walls — which is generally what decides whether a closet reads as built-in or bolted on.

Local context

Two kinds of Kleinburg home

The village and the estate subdivisions need close to opposite solutions, so the first thing worth establishing is which one you are working with.

Estate primary suites

Large enough that a single perimeter rail wastes more volume than a small closet holds in total. Full-height design and a second hanging level are the biggest single gains.

Village homes with no real closet

Period properties in the core were built before deep closets were standard. A built-in wardrobe against a flat wall is often the only way to add genuine hanging storage without structural work.

Finish is part of the brief

The closet is usually going in alongside a renovated bedroom or ensuite, so colour, base style and drawer fronts are specified to match the room, not chosen from a default.

Rooms that are not rectangles

Custom builds and older properties bring angled ceilings, dormers and deep window wells. Those get measured and built individually rather than fitted from stock widths.

Where we work

Kleinburg neighbourhoods we serve

Red Rose serves every part of Kleinburg. These notes describe the housing stock in each area — what the closets are usually like, and what tends to be worth changing.

Kleinburg Village

The historic core along Islington Avenue. Period homes with irregular walls and closets that were often added well after the house was built.

Kleinburg Summit

Newer estate subdivision with large primary suites and tall ceilings, typically finished with a single perimeter rail.

Copperwood

Recent executive homes where the primary walk-in has the floor area for a full U-shaped system with an island.

Nashville Heights

Large detached homes on wider lots, where secondary bedroom closets are usually still running their original builder fit-out.

Kleinburg Crown Estates

Estate properties with custom floorplans, so angled ceilings and non-standard wall runs are the rule rather than the exception.

Islington Woods

Established homes on mature lots south of the village, with a mix of original and renovated closet openings.

What we build

Closet solutions for Kleinburg homes

01

Walk-In Closets

The reason most Kleinburg homeowners call. Full L-shaped and U-shaped systems using every wall to the ceiling, with double hanging, long hanging sized for coats and dresses, a dedicated shoe wall and banks of drawers. Where the room is genuinely wide, a centre island adds drawer storage without crowding the walkway.

02

Reach-In Closets

Secondary bedrooms, guest suites and hallway linen closets — the ones that keep their builder wire long after the primary suite has been redone. Built to each measured opening, with hanging arranged for whoever actually uses the room.

03

Wardrobes & Built-In Storage

For village properties with shallow closets or none at all, a built-in wardrobe adds a full run of hanging and drawers against a flat wall. It can be built around radiators, angled ceilings and window trim, and finished so it reads as part of the room rather than furniture placed against it.

04

Built-In Storage

Dressing-room shelving, foyer and mudroom storage, laundry rooms and entertainment walls. In a larger Kleinburg home this is how everything that does not belong in a bedroom finally gets a proper place.

Our work

Closets we have built across Ontario

We have not published a photographed project gallery for Kleinburg specifically. Rather than show stock photography or work from somewhere else and imply it was built here, we would rather point you at the real thing: photographed projects from real Ontario homes are on our portfolio and Instagram, and 100 customers across our Ontario service area have reviewed the work on Google.

If you would like to see examples closest to your own home type — a condo reach-in, a townhome primary closet, a full walk-in — ask when you get in touch and we will send relevant photos directly.

How it works

From online design to installed closet

  1. Design online

Pick your closet type, enter your wall dimensions, choose height and base style, then place the modules you want. It takes a few minutes and nothing is booked.

  2. Get an estimate

Your price updates live as you build, itemised by base system, drawers, height and base upgrades, and HST. No waiting for a callback to find out the number.

  3. Confirm the design

We review the design with you and confirm the real measurements in your Kleinburg home before anything is cut, so the system fits the opening you actually have.

  4. We manufacture it

Your system is cut and built to those measurements in Ontario — sized to your walls rather than assembled from standard cabinet widths.

  5. We install it

Our team removes the old shelving, patches the wall, and installs the new system. A single closet is typically a one-day install.

Why Red Rose

Why Kleinburg homeowners choose us

Design it online first

A 3D closet designer that prices your build as you go. You see the layout and the number before you talk to a salesperson, because there isn't one.

Built to your measurements

Every system is cut to the actual opening in your Kleinburg home — up to 130 inches wide and 10 feet tall — so nothing is lost to filler panels.

Made in Ontario

We manufacture on our own equipment rather than importing a catalogue product, which is why non-standard widths, depths and ceiling heights are routine rather than surcharges.

Installed by our own team

Karan and Mehak oversee every project from the first call to the final install. The people who quote your closet are the people who deliver it.

2-year warranty

Every Red Rose system carries a 2-year warranty, and because the parts are made here, a replacement is cut on the same equipment as the original.

Questions

Custom closets in Kleinburg — common questions

How much does a luxury walk-in closet cost in Kleinburg?

Walk-in systems start at $1,250 for an L-shaped layout covering up to 120 inches of wall and $1,550 for a U-shaped layout up to 180 inches, priced per additional 24 inches beyond that. Drawers add $125 apiece, and building above the standard 7 feet to an 8, 9 or 10 foot ceiling adds a proportional amount. All figures are before 13% HST. Larger Kleinburg closets land higher simply because there is more wall to build — the rate does not change with the neighbourhood.

What finishes and configurations can I specify?

Panel colour, base style, drawer count and the arrangement of every section are chosen as part of your design. Because we manufacture in Ontario rather than assembling a fixed catalogue product, the sizing follows your walls instead of standard cabinet widths — which is usually what determines whether the finished closet reads as built-in or as furniture pushed against a wall.

Can you fit a dressing-room island?

Where the room is wide enough to keep a comfortable walkway on all sides once it is in, yes — and Kleinburg primary closets are more often wide enough than most areas we work in. An island is essentially drawer storage, so it earns its place when the perimeter walls are already committed to hanging.

Our home is in the village and has almost no closet space. What are the options?

This is common in the historic core. The usual answer is a built-in wardrobe: a full-height unit with hanging, shelving and drawers built against a flat wall and finished to match the room. It adds real storage without moving walls or reframing, and it can be designed around radiators, angled ceilings and period window trim rather than fighting them.

Is Kleinburg served directly, or through Vaughan?

Kleinburg is part of the City of Vaughan, and we work throughout it. There is no practical difference in how a project runs — we serve Ontario, and pricing is based on your closet rather than your address.
